Welcome to Randwick Boys High School. A Secondary Boys High School providing quality education and exceptional opportunities to young men in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. We pride ourselves on providing  "an exclusive education, in an inclusive environment" and we strive to produce well rounded young men, equipped to lead in all facets of our society.

 

 

From 2016, there are major changes at Randwick Boys High School. With a new principal comes new ideas, vision and ways of doing things in the school. We have new standards at Randwick Boys. New standards in behaviour, attitude, compliance with school and department rules, compliance with strict uniform requirements. Standards have risen in terms of being a 'Randwick Boy', what it means to be a 'Randwick Boy' and 'wearing the crest on your chest' with pride! The school community have overwhelmingly supported these new, higher standards and I would like to thank all staff, students and parents/carers for their positive comments in ensuring this wonderful school continues to excel in all areas of school life.

We are located near the university of New South Wales and currently have a Memorandum of Understanding with the University. This understanding is mutually beneficial to our students and the University. The new light rail will ensure we are even more accessible to and from the CBD.

 

 

We share our Senior Curriculum choices with Randwick Girls' High School, with some of our boys attending specific classes at Randwick Girls' HS and some of the girls attending classes here. We offer a very broad curriculum and a plethora of co-curricular activities. Feel free to peruse our website for all fantastic opportunities we offer the students at our school.

Randwick Boys High School is a multicultural school which is a microcosm of the society in which we live. Our students display tolerance for others' beliefs, customs and rituals. We offer a caring, safe, harmonious environment where students can achieve the best possible outcomes in a single sex setting.


Our results in external examinations are excellent. NAPLAN, HSC and various other external examination results are a testament to our dedicated, hardworking, professional staff. Over 80% of those seeking progression to tertiary education are successfully placed in various universities in Sydney and beyond. All students, regardless of academic ability, are catered for and we excel in ensuring all students have avenues to show their talents and giftedness. Students are encouraged and supported to try new activities and strive for their personal best academically, in the Arts, in the sporting arena as well as developing their leadership skills. We have various music groups, including a fabulous Concert Band, outstanding Choir, performances in drama and dance and a school show held each year at National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) theatres to showcase our outstanding performers!


In terms of enriching the curriculum for students, we offer local, interstate and international excursions. Students are able to 'see the curriculum come alive' and see aspects of their learning first hand.

We have extremely active parents and citizen body who are involved in promoting our school in the wider community and assisting the school with fundraising, sitting on staff appointment panels and generally assisting the education of their sons. Our 'Old Boy' network is constantly growing and an expansion of their section of the website is planned for 2017 and beyond.
