The teaching and learning faculty has been established at Randwick Boys High School to oversee the following areas of our school:
- Working with the learning support faculties (library, careers education, learning and support teacher and English as a second language) to strengthen the delivery of educational support throughout the school
- Develop and implement performance targets for faculty members, consistent with the Australian National Professional Standards for Teachers
- Leading the development and implementation of Project Based Learning (PBL) across the school over the course of the 2015-2017 school plan.
- Implementing, tailoring and evaluating Project Based Learning across the school and plan for its strengthening in the period after the 2015-2017 school plan.
- Leading the Gifted and Talented Program team, including professional learning for teachers
- Leading all staff in understanding the Australian National Professional Standards for Teachers, including supporting staff as they maintain accreditation and move to higher levels of accreditation
- Working with the Head Teacher, student wellbeing, to lead the learning support Team to maximise its impact and effectiveness across the school
- Working with the Aboriginal Student Support Coordinator to ensure the creation, dissemination, and implementation of Aboriginal Students' personal learning plans
- Working with curriculum and activities teachers to implement structures to maximise the effectiveness of curriculum differentiation across the school in teaching and learning programs and in the assessment
- Leading the development and strengthening of student leadership across the school in line with the 2015 – 2017 school plan
- Working with the Head Teachers, TAS and science, to lead the uptake of bring your own device (BYOD) across the school
