Students from Year 7 to 11 must participate in the sport each Wednesday afternoon. The sports choices are varied according to season and boys can choose either grade sport or recreational sport. The emphasis at Randwick is to make sports fun, improve physical well being, develop skills and sportsmanship, and provide opportunities to develop lifelong friendships, to develop courage and to be gracious in defeat or success.
Sport is compulsory for all students until the end of Year 11. Those with an illness and injury must provide a medical certificate to the rolls officer and their respective coaches must be informed. Boys are then required to attend non-sport for the afternoon.
